frequently asked questions
Why "Attangle"?
Attack + angle. Capture moves form angles on the board and in your mind.
So, when I capture I always move 2 single pieces (or 1 piece and a 3-stack), because of the 1-piece majority rule, right?
Yes.
And there are only stacks made of 3 or 5 pieces?
Yes, but don't forget about “stacks” made of 1 single piece, they are part of a thought out minimal design.
Stacks which are 5 pieces high cannot be moved, right?
Yes, they are “frozen”.
Are they removed from the board?
No.
Do I have to use both hands to make these synchronous captures?
No.
So, when I move a single piece and a 3-stack, in which order do I have to stack them on the captured opponent piece?
It's completely up to you, because it doesn't matter at all.
This is no real stacking game, it's about majorities: the topmost piece of a stack is always on the majority. Actually there is no need for a stacking order, right?
Corrrrect, but please don't pass that on :)
Are there drawn games?
I think the answer is no, but I'm not 100% sure about it. Have a look at the following - quite artificial - position. White to move will win: d4 / e3,e4-d4 / c3,c4-d4.
